Rooted in love and liberation,
Achvat Olam* Diaspora Community Day School
is bringing together robust Jewish education with justice frameworks and age-appropriate community organizing skills, so that we can nurture our banim/ot* (children) as they become bonim/ot (builders) of a more equitable and caring world.

Achvat Olam translates to “eternal/global” “siblinghood/solidarity.” Our name calls back to the biblical story of brothers Cain and Abel, which teaches us the importance of mutual obligation, shared humanity, and interdependence.

*The highly gendered nature of the Hebrew language is being challenged and expanded by queer and feminist Hebrew speakers and learners all over the world. We draw on this wisdom by including multiple plural forms, denoted by a “/,” to include all people along an expansive gender spectrum.
